The League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes reached a tentative contract with 1199 SEIU on Monday. The four-year deal increases wages by a total of 13% and maintains health insurance at no cost to union members. The contract, which both sides still have to approve, would avert a one-day strike scheduled for July 31.
